Council would like to thank all who participated in the recent Community Grants Program Review survey and to the applicants who have provided feedback from previous Community Grants Funding rounds.

Adopted at the August Local Government meeting, the review supported the incorporation of a Community Infrastructure program stream which will be allocated from savings gained through Council’s Asset Rationalisation. A new specific program stream for ANZAC Day and Battle of the Coral Sea Commemoration was also established which will provide funding to support commemorative activities for ANZAC Day and the Battle of the Coral Sea Commemorations. Application is by invitation to relevant RSL Sub Branches or an eligible organisation as defined in the program guidelines.

The new guidelines also provide for new funding levels in some program streams, additional budget allocation and changes to the guidelines focused on program eligibility and transparent assessment criteria.
