Have your say on the Cardwell Walking Network Plan

Council is developing a Cardwell Walking Network Plan and the community is invited to help shape how Cardwell’s footpaths and walking routes look into the future.

This plan will help create a town that is safer, more connected and easier to get around on foot.

We want to hear from everyone – whether you walk, cycle, push a pram, use a wheelchair or mobility aid, or simply enjoy getting around Cardwell.

Your feedback will help identify:

  • Where footpaths already work well
  • Where connections are missing
  • Which routes and areas should be prioritised

How to have your say

You can share your ideas in two ways:

  • Attend the community workshop, or
  • Complete the online survey and interactive map

Consultation closes on 15 February 2026.

Your local knowledge will help guide future improvements and ensure the walking network reflects the needs of the Cardwell community.

The Cardwell Walking Network Plan is being delivered by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council in partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads
