The purpose of the Rating Advisory Committee is to provide a platform for ratepayers and community members to provide feedback and recommendations on Council’s current General Rates and Special Levies

structure in advance of developing the 2024/25 Annual Budget.

Expressions of Interest opened from 6 March 2023 through to 10 April 2023. Council received nineteen (19) submissions with applicants indicating their eagerness to be involved and contribute to Council's Rating Structure, specifically focusing on the General Rate and Special Levies

Council endorsed twelve community members at the June Local Government meeting based on the answers supplied within their application.

Preference was given to those residents who represent local organisations, interest groups, community groups and whose skills and experience will, in Council's opinion, most ably assist the objectives of the Committee.
