• A valued community space

Warrina Lakes Visitor Building has supported community events, gatherings and everyday use for many years. Recent upgrades to the precinct, including the pump track, nature play area and carpark improvements, have helped make Warrina Lakes a popular destination for families and the wider community.

  • Why a new facility is being explored

Originally constructed as a cattle shed, the existing building is ageing and now presents ongoing safety, compliance and maintenance challenges. Council is exploring options for a new facility that can continue serving the community well into the future.

  • What is being proposed

The concept design aims to retain the open, flexible feel of the current building while improving functionality, accessibility and safety. Proposed features include a large undercover event space, improved amenities, flexible open and enclosed areas, a parents room and stronger connections to surrounding parklands and play spaces.
