Project Background

Council is developing its Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy to align with regional, state, and national objectives, with a strong focus on achieving waste reduction targets by 2050. This strategy seeks to enhance services related to landfills, kerbside collection, and Waste Transfer Stations (WTS), of which the Council currently operates seven across the region alongside two landfills.

To inform this initiative, Cassowary Coast Regional Council is conducting a WTS Consultation Survey aimed at gathering insights into residents' use of WTS services.

Waste Transfer Station (WTS) Review Survey

Cassowary Coast Regional Council invites you to participate in the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) Review Survey, designed to gather valuable insights on how residents utilise WTS services.

The Waste and Resource Recovery team will analyse the survey results and present the findings to the Council, guiding decisions on operational hours and service offerings. This valuable input will play a crucial role in shaping the Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy.

The survey is available below and will remain open until Sunday 24 Novemeber 2024.

Your feedback is crucial in helping the Council optimise these services and achieve our waste reduction goals.
