Pirates Den - dismantle deck / foreshore rock carting

Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to advise that contractors RMS Engineering & Construction will be commencing the following works as part of the Mission Beach Town Centre Revitalisation.

Works:

  • Village Green - [former] Pirates Den - Dismantle Deck/Awning
  • Foreshore - cart rock to stockpile beach laydown area

Dates:

  • Tuesday 6 August to Friday 16 August [subject to delays]

Description:

Village Green - [former] Pirates Den - Temporary disconnection of services, including water, electricity, and gas, to facilitate the safe dismantling of an existing deck and awning. Foreshore - Carting rock to designated stockpile area on the beach foreshore.

Temporary impacts as a result of these works include:
  • Increased Vehicle Movement
  • Access will not be impeded, however construction traffic may limit access to turning area
  • There will be no disruptions to services as a result of these works
  • Potential noise pollution due to machinery
  • Safety barriers will be in place to ensure public safety
