Car Park Closure Update June
Attention all residents and visitors of Warrina Lakes Community Parklands!
As part of the ongoing improvements outlined in Stage Two of the Warrina Lakes Community Parklands Master Plan, the Car Park remains closed to the public over the next few weeks as we diligently work on repairing and resealing the area. With the sun shining brightly, our team is making the most of this favorable weather to ensure the car park upgrades are completed efficiently. Your safety is our priority, so we kindly ask everyone to respect the barriers and signage in place.
đźš— Alternative Parking Options: During this period, we understand parking may be a bit challenging. Please consider alternative parking arrangements nearby and plan your visit accordingly. We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as we strive to enhance the Warrina Lakes Community Parklands for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned for further updates on the progress of this exciting project!
What is Happening?
Stage Two of the Warrina Lakes Community Parkland Masterplan is underway with an upgrade of the car park commencing in late November 2023.
This project is part of our larger plan to make this community space more enjoyable and accessible for everyone. By enhancing parking and formalising additional disabled parking, we're creating a more welcoming and convenient experience for all visitors to these fantastic recreational facilities, including the recently opened pump track.
As Council improve the car park, there will be short-term impacts for Warrina Lake visitors, including a temporary closure of the main car park to allow for asphalt and line marking to occur and some noise impacts during working hours.
Funding Acknowledgement
The $200,000 carpark upgrade project has been funded by the Queensland Government's Works for Queensland program.
